Inside Out

If you were turned inside out,
what would your soul be about?

Would your heart pump liters of hate?
Or, would peace always permeate?

Have ego and arrogance been your reason to shout?
Or, has selflessness and compassion steered your bouts?

Have your eyes been clouded by the imperfections in me?
Or, is it my light shining sometimes you see?

Don't give up the struggle inside; and
don't repeat each event with pride.

Just reflect may we all,

from inside out,
it is our integrity that makes us

all stand tall.
